WHY WE DO IT
Synthetic dyes are responsible for 20% of global wastewater
Derived from carbon intensive petroleum and coal tar, these dyes rely on non-biodegradable chemicals that are toxic, mutagenic, carcinogenic, and highly polluting. Their chemical dye effluent causes contamination, kills marine life, damages soil, and contaminates the food chain and drinking supply.
With new regulations to eliminate hazardous chemicals imminent, rapidly scalable solutions are desperately needed.

Bananatex
Bananatex and SAGES have collaborated to dye a range of their innovative fibres using SAGES colour palette. We are actively working with brand partners to bring this dyed fabric to market - if you’re interested, get in touch!
Story Mfg
Garments from Story Mfg’s core collections were dyed with SAGES dyes at a UK dye-house partner as part of a trial to explore sustainable, bio-based colour options
